ADHRIK'S pov

I need to escape this situation. Shreya is always clingy although I avoid her. But now when Shanaya is watching me.

It will give her the wrong idea. I drew back my hand roughly. Adhvith understood the situation and acted quickly.

We went out to the lawn for some time.

"How is my sister doing?", Adhvith asked me. I looked at him reassuringly ," Don't worry, I will protect her". I said.

"I can also protect her, that is not the problem, I am worried about you ", he said.

"What did I do?", I asked

"Look Adhrik, I know you, your ambition and everything but I agreed to give my sister to you because I trust you. But believe me when I say this if you ever break her heart, I will keep our friendship aside and kill you",

he said while looking serious.

"This tone doesn't suit you ", I said carelessly.

"Yeah? But I am serious about it." He said maintaining the same tone.

This time I didn't respond . We both discussed about the deal with the Russo group that we are working for.

"I will return to the office from Tomorrow", I said and Advith nodded. We returned to the hall , the guests are still present.

Shanaya is talking with her parents. She must have missed them.

I got a call from the Marco Russo, the CEO of Viora tech Industries. The billion dollar empire, Italy. We have a deal to finalise. If this deal is signed we will be top in India.

I went to the study room to attend his call. It almost took 2 hours . I went to the hall only to find it empty , guests left.

"Maa, Everybody left already? I asked my mother.

Yes beta", she replied smiling.

Nobody dares to talk to me when I am working.

"Where is Shanaya?", I asked.

" She said she is tired beta, she must be sleeping in your room",

"Okay maa , good night", I said and walked towards my room.

I saw her sleeping figure on the bed. All these days are really exhausting. I still have some work to do.

I may disturb her if I work here. So I turned towards the study room again.

SHANAYA'S POV

My alarm rang loudly. I snoozed it. It rang again after 10 mins.

"Arrgghhh, I want to sleep moreee", I shouted at my phone.

And then realisation hit me like a truck that this is not my room.

I am still not used to this.

I looked around Adhrik is not present. Aarushi said he will go to the gym every morning.

I got ready quickly, my exams are approaching, I should study more.

I have to return to University within two days otherwise I will miss more classes.

I went downstairs papa is sitting on the couch having his morning coffee.

"Good morning papa", I greeted him with a smile.

"Good morning Shanaya beta, why did you wake up so early?", he asked . Concern visible on his face.

"I am used to it papa, don't worry", I said.

"Uh, Shanaya is Adhrik being nice to you?" He asked.

"Y- yes papa", I replied immediately.

"Look , if he ever shouts at you , you come straight to me okay? I know how to deal with him", he said proudly.

A laugh left my lips. "Sure papa".

" Done bitching about me?", Adhrik asked while coming into the hall.

Hair messy, T-shirt clung to his body shhhhh Shanaya stop it.

"We don't bitch behind backs, we do it right to your face", papa smirked.

Adhrik's jaw clenched making him irresistible.... Ufff why is it so hot in here.

"Why are you irritating my son early in the morning? Don't you have other work to do?" Mumma shouted while walking from the kitchen.

"You always think about your son, What about me?" Papa got hurt.

"Yes papa, we both are invisible to mumma", Aarushi spiced up the conversation.

"Stop it both of you, Shanaya beta come fast and have your breakfast, you have to go to your house na", mumma said.

Adhrik paused on the stairs for a minute.

He didn't look at me.

"Okay maa", I followed her to the dining hall along with Aarushi.
