SHANAYA'S POV

My head was pounding when I woke up. I could barely remember how I got home. Did Adhrik come to pick us? Flashes of last night rushed through my mind, each memory making the headache worse.

"Kiss me_"

Wait what?

Did I actually ask him to kiss me?

I actually kissed him.

How could I do that? What will he think of me? How will I ever face him again? The room seemed to spin as all the memories from yesterday night overwhelmed me. Right now sure, I won't talk to him anymore. That's it_ I won't.

He isn't here at the moment, so I should freshen up quickly and get out. I rushed to the washroom. Within 15 minutes , I did everything at the speed of lightning. Oh god, he's going to come back from the gym in ten minutes.

I practically ran downstairs. There sat maa, lecturing Aarushi.

Aarushi had her head down, listening silently for once_ maybe the first time I'd seen her not argue back. I quietly joined the lecture, standing beside Aarushi. " Girl, I thought you wouldn't wake up for another hour", ..... I made a crying face.

" And you! Shaanu beta, you joined this monkey too?", Maa started scolding me as well.

"Sorry maa, I didn't know about the alcohol in the juice"' ,I replied avoiding eye contact.

"That's the problem! What if something happened to you both?", her eyes shimmered with tears, and I felt a wave of guilt.

" Maa, please, it's our fault_ I promise we won't do it again." , I hugged her tightly.

" yeah , me too ,maa , I promise", Aarushi joined the hug.

"Are you done with the hugging party?", I froze at the sound of Adhrik's voice. I didn't turn around, just buried my face deeper in maa' s embrace.

" It's okay, but don't repeat it", Maa said gently pulling away.

No , don't leave me, I tried to cling to her, but she stepped out of my grasp. Shit.

" I will help you in the kitchen", I offered quickly.

"What ? "",Every one shouted in suprise_ Adhrik even snorted loud enough for me to hear from behind.

" No , you don't need to step in the kitchen. Stay here . I'll make you both a hangover juice", ,Maa ordered, sounding more like a warning. " Both of you are not going to university today".

" Well_ what a coincidence _ I'm not going to the office today either", Adhrik' s footsteps approached, my heart raced.

" You...... taking a leave? Who are you kidding, Bhaiyya", Aarushi's sarcastic voice broke through.

" why shouldn't I get a day off........ when you are out partying?", He turned towards me as I desperately looked anywhere but him.

"But_"

" I'm not going to the office today.. Do you have a problem, sister?", he is straight up threatening her.

" No_ no..... I'll just go to my room", Aarushi mumbled., starting to run.

I want to chase after her. Please don't leave me here.........

" And you, Mrs. Malhotra, don't you think I deserve an explanation? ,"Adhrik asked. I gave an awkward smile, still avoiding his eyes.

" oh , I'm sorry for drinking. I don't know......" , I stuttered, barely able to speak. The courage to face him had abandoned me.

" Yeah, that's for the drinking. But what happened after that."?

Oh god, please save me..... I am silently cursing myself....and Aarushi for not helping me.

" I_ I don't remember anything......" Its time to unleash my acting skills.

" Then why are you avoiding me?"

Adhrik stepped forward and my leg tripped and I landed on sofa.

" Adhrik beta.... Go freshen up and come for breakfast ", Maa called from kitchen. He stopped finallyyy...

" okay maa...." He came close to me lowered his head and whispered in my ear. " I'll make sure you remember everything, Mia Luna"....

My eyes widened in shock and I turned towards him making an eye contact for the first time today. He smirked and winked , leaving me there...... stunned.

Freaking winked.

I am too ..shocked to speak . No I won't go to his room . I started running to Aarushi' s room, where she is dancing....

She abandoned me there and now she's dancing..?

" You_ how could you leave me alone when you know they would tease me?" I accused, catching my breath.

" Aishhh, I've already had enough scolding this morning, Shaanu. I can't handle more", she said, settling comfortably on her bed.

" So, will you let me stay in your room for a while? Pretty please....", I pleaded.

"Babe, my room is your room..."

Thankfully, she didn't ask any questions for now. I decided to stay here and return home tomorrow when Adhrik isn't around.

" Come downstairs for breakfast, I told you to stay in the hall!", Maa called out, carrying the hangover drink.

" We are coming now, let's go!" , I dragged Aarushi with me after finishing the drink in one go. Honestly I didn't feel how it tasted . I am burning from inside because of the visuals from last night.

At dining hall,

Adhrik came in wearing a casual T-shirt and track pants. He looked homely and cute.

Don't go there, I mentally slapped myself.

He came and seated in the opposite chair of me. I forced myself to look away.

" I want to switch seats ", I whispered to Aarushi, nudging her shoulder.

" What are we..twelve? You want to swap places, babe? We are at home....", Aarushi chuckled.

" Don't call her that", Adhrik said in a low, dangerous voice.

" call her what?", Aarushi shot back.

" Babe...... don't call her babe from now on", he said, his eyes fixed on me.

( Trust me , baby, I want to take you against this door right now, but I won't .

Not now baby, maybe tomorrow _ when you are in your right senses...)

Heat rushed in my cheeks as I remember last night.

" I've been calling her babe for ages. Why should I stop now"? ,Aarushi refused to back down.

" I will give you my car", he didn't even blink.

A car......?

Aarushi's smile grew even bigger. " Really , Bhaiyya?", She was so excited and he nodded.

" Sorry ba_ Shaanu, but I've always wanted that car!", She kissed me on the cheek.

" And also, don't kiss her", Adhrik added, arms crossed over his chest.

" Anything you say , Bhaiyya. I won't even touch her from now on ", Aarushi joked, betraying me again. I looked at with an angry eyes.

" Relax, I just won't call you babe when he's around , okay.", She winked.

" Can we atleast switch seats .?" I asked in frustration.

" Sure ba_ uh Shaanu", she switched seats with me immediately. Good _ now I didn't have to face him directly.

Papa entered the scene greeting everyone with a smile.

" Papa , come sit here,"Adhrik offered his seat.

" What's wrong with my son? Is he alright?", papa got really shocked.

" Nothing is wrong with me. You sit here", Adhrik made papa sit in his seat and he moved to the which is opposite to me.

Just kill me already, I don't want breakfast anymore; I wanted to dig myself a six- foot hole and disappear.

Why won't he stop staring at me? How can I escape?

" I heard you had a party yesterday and weren't in your senses when you got home", papa asked but not angrily . More like teasing.

My back straightened in embarrassment. " Sorry papa. I won't do it again".

"Me too papa", Aarushi added her voice.

" Yeah , she was so drunk she doesn't remember a thing about last night .... Right?", Adhrik interrupted us with his words.

I guess i have to run away he won't this subject.
